About Dr. Nice's & Our Products

Who makes Dr. Nice's products, and where?

Dr. Nice's Natural Products is a vegan skincare and wellness company headquartered in California. Our hydrogels are pharmacist-formulated and made in the USA. Our original Nipple Care Gel was developed by a renowned pharmacist and expert in breastfeeding and lactation pharmacology as a safe, all-natural alternative to lanolin nipple care.

What is a hydrogel, and how does it work?

A hydrogel is a water-based gel. Dr. Nice's hydrogel soothes and cools on contact, then dries into a thin, breathable protective barrier over the skin. That barrier locks in moisture, helps prevent transdermal water loss, and supports your skin's natural healing while protecting against further chafe and chap.

What ingredients are in Dr. Nice's gels?

Our core formula uses just four FDA-certified ingredients: Water (USP grade), Poloxamer (a plant-based hydrogel), Gluconolactone and Sodium Benzoate (a natural, corn-based preservative that is Ecocert, Whole Foods, and European REACH compliant), and Peppermint (GMP certified). No lanolin, no harsh chemicals, no synthetic preservatives. Do not use if you are allergic to any of these ingredients.

Are your products vegan and cruelty-free?

Yes. Every Dr. Nice's product is 100% vegan, lanolin-free, cruelty-free (no animal testing), non-toxic, and all-natural.

Safety

Is the Nipple Care Gel safe for my baby while breastfeeding?

Yes. All ingredients in our Nipple Care Gel are safe for both mom and baby, so there's no need to wash it off before breastfeeding. It was formulated specifically for breastfeeding by a lactation and breastfeeding pharmacology expert.

Are your products safe for kids?

Yes. Our kids' products — Boo-Boo Gel, Kids Sports Gel, and Bye-Bye Bug Bite — are non-toxic and safe for children to self-apply, which helps encourage healthy self-care skills. As with all our products, do not use if your child is allergic to any of the ingredients.

Are there any allergy or use warnings?

Our gels are for external use only. Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. If irritation occurs, discontinue use. If you have a specific medical condition or are treating a serious wound, check with your healthcare provider first.

How to Use

How do I apply the gel?

Dispense a small amount — about the size of a grain of rice — onto your fingers and apply a thin layer to the affected area as often as needed. When dry, the gel should be clear. A white appearance means too much was used; simply rinse off with warm water, dry the area, and reapply a smaller amount.

Why does the Nipple Care Gel work two ways — chilled and at room temperature?

Chilled (about 10 minutes in the refrigerator or a cup of ice), the thick gel turns into a thin liquid that delivers instant cooling, soothing relief on sore, cracked skin, then expands as it dries to fill in cracks and protect. At room temperature, it can be used like a balm, butter, cream, or lotion on dry, chapped, or chafed skin.

How often can I use it?

You can apply Dr. Nice's hydrogels as often as needed. A little goes a long way — a thin layer is all it takes.

Which Product Is Right for Me?

Which gel should I choose?

All Dr. Nice's gels share the same all-natural hydrogel base, tailored by use: Nipple Care Gel for sore, cracked nipples while breastfeeding; Booty Soothe for diaper rash and chafed skin; Boo-Boo Gel for kids' minor cuts, scrapes, and burns; Sports HydroGel (plus Hikers, Runners, and Surfers versions) for blisters, chafe, and reef rash; Kids Sports Gel for active kids; Bye-Bye Bug Bite for bug bites and itch; Cool Tattoo for soothing tattoo aftercare; Rear End Mend for hemorrhoid and chafe relief; Hydrogel Multi-Use for everyday minor skin irritation; and HydroMend for senior and fragile-skin wound care.

Can one gel be used for more than one thing?

Yes. Because they share the same hydrogel base, our gels are versatile for minor blisters, cuts, scrapes, wounds, burns, and friction or weather chap and chafe. The Hydrogel Multi-Use is our all-purpose option if you'd rather keep a single product on hand.
